Early decorating
On Monday and Tuesday, Lily and I were at my mother in law's so we could start setting up the front room of her house for Lily's first birthday. It's not until next Saturday but last year for my baby shower, it was just my MiL and we did it all last minute. Although my baby shower looked great, it was stressful and I was sososo pregnant when I had to help. For Lily's bday we wanted to get everything planned and set up as early as possible.
We may have bit off a little more than we can chew with this party but it's honestly better than an all pink princess birthday like my MIL wanted to do, in my opinion. The theme I picked was originally Hello Kitty but I decided to make sure she was interested and it wasn't just because of my preference. Lily loves the Bubble Guppies! We watch it as often as possible, I think it's a really cute show as well. Sadly, there's pretty much nothing out there for Bubble Guppies except a few party items and some expensive squirt toys like I got last week(I'll post pics when I get the chance).
We got the front room pretty much done yesterday, it looks different compared to what I had in mind but we worked with what we had and I think it'll be great. We can't exactly start decorating the rest of their house because their youngest son has the tendency to pick at, take, and break things so we have to wait until like Wednesday to start on the front and backyard, living room, and kitchen. My current task at hand is to finish making everything I need in Microsoft Paint, printing it out, cutting it out(bleh), and shopping for everything I need to finish this shopping list.
I can't wait for everyone to enjoy the hell out of this party, still not sure how many people are going but who cares, my baby is going to be so happy to see so many people there. Oh crap, just remembered I need to attempt to make her tutu this weekend! So yeah, planned on buying a custom tutu and shirt like a month ago, hubby didn't want to, so my MIL got one that's more like a skirt. Well I found this tulle at the 99 cent store and I think I need to at least try to make her one like I wanted. We'll see if I even have the time with all the other stuff I need to do. >.<
Anyways, here's some progress pics, I'm going to go take a nap with my daughter. ^.^

Birthday shopping
Today my MIL(mother in law), daughter Lily, and I went shopping for 5 hours, buying and piling stuff into her little Shelby Mustang. She bought a bouncy house for the party, although I have objected to the thought all year because I don't feel a need for that at a one year olds birthday, BUT it is pretty neat and the kids who are coming will enjoy it so I appreciate it. Oh! And one win for me today was finding some Bubble Guppies squirters to use for her BG birthday! Thank you Walmart! Too bad there isn't much BG going on like anywhere right now. =/
We hauled in some neat things, I will definitely post pictures because they're just soooo cool and or cute. I can't wait for her birthday party(16 days!!) so I can see how well we can put this together and hopefully inspire some people who have also become frustrated with the fact that no one has enough Bubble Guppies stuff.
Also this picnic table was made for Lily by one of her grandpas and her nana and I painted most of it white. The rest will have to be painted when it's dry and flipped upside down. The next addition will be putting Hello Kitty stickers on it and sealing them on with some clear coat that she was telling me about.
I have a lot of cleaning to do in my apartment right now but I'd prefer to be lazy and hang out with Lily for most of today lol. I'll probably go through the stuff I got whenever gets back from picking up his little brother from school and I'll show you guys the cool stuff I got from dollar stores. (:

Oh yeah! Paper cutter!
I forgot I wanted to show off this cute little gadget I got the other day to finish the invitations for Lily's birthday. It's a small 4x6 paper cutter thingy and I got it for $8 at US Toys Store, it seriously saved my ass with these invitations, I can never cut a straight line. It took a little while to get the hang of, but after awhile I found out how the get the card stock I put behind the invitation pictures, to actually look good.
I've been asked a lot- "why do you insist on making invitations even though it's frustrating" and "why work so hard for a one year olds birthday?" well the answer is I don't see the point in spending so much money on Bubble Guppies stuff online, so why not use the ideas other people came up with. Growing up I realized how hard things can get when you get in over your head with spending money you don't quite have. We have the means kind of, but I like the spend the least amount of money as possible, otherwise I'll go a little crazy with it and make us broke lol.
Anyways I'm rambling, just wanted to show some lie to my paper cutter. <3

Almost 1 year!
This is my sweet Daughter Lily, she is 11 months old , but will be 1 year in 13 days! Been planning her birthday party for weeks and we still have a ton to do! Her first birthday theme is the Bubble Guppies, she just goes nuts over that show and I like it too, it's totally cute. I have foud a lot of pinspiration(inspiration from Pinterest) and I'm really stoked to see how it all looks when we're done.
My mother in law and best friend will be helping put the party together at my inlaws house in 3 weeks. For now I'm still printing and cutting tons of Bubble Guppies stuff and shopping, which is the hard part lol.
Stay tuned for up dates on this party and what crafts we do for it, I'm so excited! (:

Doctor Who?
My husband and I are Doctor Who fans(Whovians) and I saw this shirt online years ago, that I knew I wanted to make for him. It's a mashup of Dr Pepper and Dr Who, I printed it out from google, cut and traced every little spot, then hand painted this on his shirt. He loved it and wears it all the time, really makes me feel awesome. (:

My wedding shoes
I found these shoes on Yardsellr about 3+ years ago and told my dad about them and he had bought for me, finally got to use them on December 27th for our small wedding. When I had purchased them I had thought they were white but when I got them I realized that they are a very light pink(not my favorite), but who can say no to some short heeled Hello Kitty shoes? Psh not me! Anyways the night before we got hitched, I realized I had some nail stone I got for Christmas, only hot pink and silver, so I put some bling on my shoes.

Hope you think they're as cute as I do! So glad I can wear these whenever now that I got to where them when I got married!
